I never thought Olivia should have kept the truth hidden like she did because it was obvious where that would lead, but it would be so much easier to forgive Sonny down the road if he would just accept full blame. Olivia was right she is "not the one that shoots people who get in her way." I find it kind of ironic that Sonny was so full of guilt when Michael got shot even though he really wasn't responsible for that at all, yet he has no problem putting all the blame on Olivia for Dante getting shot even though he was the one who pulled the trigger.
