I like Julie Marie Berman. I really do. I think she is one of the best hires General Hospital has made in the past few years. She’s a wonderful actress who looks enough like a young Genie Francis that it’s totally plausible she is Luke and Laura’s daughter.
But, really, GH. Lulu’s not all that.
Yes, I got a kick out of the three stooges, i.e. Milo, Dillon and Spinelli, vying for her attention. It was humorous, and goodness knows mob-heavy GH always benefits from a healthy dose of laughter.
Eventually, though, that got a bit old, especially as I watched Dillon treat the sweet and loyal Georgie, aka his former wife and love of his life, like so much dog dung on his shoe. Then there’s Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). His idolizing of Lulu is no longer cute; it’s annoying. And he’s making my sweetie pie Jason listen to his cloying platitudes and whining, ruining the Stone Cold/Jackal interplay I usually adore so much. Plus, Spinelli is totally, if unknowingly, dissing Georgie, and, frankly she deserves better.
As if all this wasn’t frustrating enough, now Lulu has Logan (Josh Duhon) groveling at her feet, and it looks like the newest young hunk, Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), has hopped on the Amazing Lulu train, as well.
You know, GH, last I checked there were other young ladies to choose from in the town of Port Charles.
Let’s see, I’ve already mentioned Georgie (Lindze Letherman). She is as worthy of some male adoration, if not more so, than Lulu is. Or how about throwing Maxie (Kirsten Storms) a suitor or two? Yeah, she totally blew it with Coop, but to be fair, he hasn’t been much more than a cardboard cutout since the first few weeks he was on-screen. No offense to Jason Gerhardt, but Coop has been a disappointment. No wonder Maxie went Logan shopping.
Bottom line: I’m tired of Lulu being the only fair game in town. There are lots of other women with plenty to offer, and this Lulu brigade is getting to be a bit much. It’s ruining my enjoyment of not only the character, but also the guys who fall under her questionable spell.

I really like the LuLu character, but how’d she go from having a fake Elvis boyfriend to being adored by every man in town!
I especially hated how Dillon kicked Georgie to the curb after all the years of history they made. Really made me dislike his character & I was glad he left.
I’d really like to see Spinelli get a life without LuLu in it. It took me a minute but I can see the Georgie/Spinelli possibilities, but just like with Luke/Skye, let’s not go there if Spinelli is just gonna dump Georgie to be Lulu’s lap dog at every turn cuz Georgie does deserve better.
Another possibility for Georgie is Max’s brother (Sonny’s other bodyguard). Maybe if he showed Georgie some interest, Spinelli would get his head outta his laptop & see what’s staring him in the face!
I for one love bad girl Maxie … she’s got a few undiscovered layers left & I actually think Logan may be what she needs.
But I also don’t want to watch Logan pining for LuLu for eternity like his father does for Laura. BO-RING & LuLu definitely is NOT all that.

Hi, Beth. Thanks for posting. If you want a picture from Brandon Barash, who plays Johnny, try writing to him at: Brandon Barash, c/o General Hospital, 4151 Prospect Ave., Hollywood, CA 90027. There’s also a fan Web site at http://www.brandon-barash.net that might be helpful, as well. Good luck!
