The two-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina has just past, and yet people are still homeless and there is much work to be done in rebuilding the Gulf Coast.
The One Life To Live cast is still giving to that much-needed cause, with Robin Strasser (Dorian) leading the pack.
The cast produced a 26-track CD called “One Life Many Voices” with 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale going to hurricane relief. Strasser, president of the One Life Many Voices Foundation, went to Louisiana last year and helped out with a Habitat for Humanity house.
Some of the many cast members featured on the album: Kassie DePaiva (Blair), Kathy Brier (Marcie), Ilene Kristen (Roxy), Erika Slezak (Viki) and Tika Sumpter (Layla).
The CD is available for $15 and can be purchased on Robin’s website or on the OLMV website.
Check out the new my space page devoted to this project with excerpts from the CD. Robin has chosen the songs and asks everyone on MySpace to add OLMV as a friend and place it as one of your top friends.
For Catherine Hickland fans, there’s yet another opportunity to donate to this cause.
Does anyone remember the explosive “Woman of the Year” episodes where Lindsay (Hickland) was arrested as Spencer’s killer while being honored with the WOTY title? That great poster of Lindsay, displayed so prominently during those scenes, is being auctioned on Ebay for the benefit of OLMV.
Go to Ebay and type in Catherine Hickland. The poster is signed by Hickland and the auction ends Sunday.
