All I can say is – Thank Goodness Luke is back!

Luke BEE-lieves Ethan and is fighting for him!

Ethan (Nathan Parsons) and Luke (Tony Geary). (ABC/Greg Zabilski)

Loved, Loved, LOVED the Luke/Sonny scenes!!!!!

Tony Geary as Luke and Maurice Benard as Sonny ignited the TV screens. The intensity between them was explosive and I couldn’t take my eyes off the TV – or even blink – while the two friends verbally fought for their respective children.

Now, in general, I’m not a huge Luke OR Sonny fan (dodging rotten tomatoes as I say this)….But, to be honest, they’re not my personal favorite GH characters.

Let me say that I think both actors are incredible!

But I’m talking about the characters here, not the actors.

I like Luke. I do. He’s just not on all that much anymore. And I do love his scenes with Tracy. They’re always entertaining, for sure.

But Sonny….well, he’s another story.

I hate his temper. I hate what he does and I hate what he stands for…Helloooo, The MOB! He kills people and orders hits on people and there’s so much more that I detest about his character.

Maurice Benard as Sonny (ABC/Greg Zabilski)

Shooting an unarmed cop in the chest point-blank kind of says it all.

I know, I know…. He wouldn’t have shot Dante if he knew he was his son….Exactly HOW many times did he say that line? Like that justifies it!

I guess I really never got the appeal….how he reels ALL those women in with just a flash of his smile and those dimples – despite all the really bad things that he does. I just don’t get it!

But I have to admit, ya gotta love the drama that surrounds Sonny.

How about all that glassware flying on Friday?

One thing about GH these days, I can’t WAIT to watch it!

How about seeing Lindze Letherman return Friday as Georgie? I Love Georgie!
I’m still mad that they killed her off…one of the only truely good characters on that show! She had so much potential, but TPTB felt the need to kill her! Grrrrr.

Be that as it may, I hope we see more of Georgie on Monday. I’ve always liked the dynamic between Letherman and Kirsten Storms as Maxie.

I’m also really looking forward to the Luke/Kristina scenes.

When last we left GH on Friday, Luke had just told Kristina that she needed to tell the truth and that they BOTH knew Ethan didn’t beat her up.

Lexi Ainsworth has been A-mazing as Kristina throughout this teen dating abuse storyline.

But it sure is time for the right person to be ID’d as her abuser – and that’s Kiefer!

Does it strike anyone as odd that Carly and Michael are the only two people who realize that it’s Kiefer and not Ethan who beat Kristina?

Michael (Drew Garrett) and Carly (Laura Wright) (ABC/Craig Sjodin)

I just wondered why no one else even brought up Kiefer’s name as a possibility, considering she dumped him that night to be with Ethan.

And can anyone tell me WHY they’re replacing Drew Garrett as Michael?

Chad Duell is slated to take over the role with his first appearance on April 20.

Chad Duell as Michael (ABC/Chris Chavira)

Garrett has been so good in the role since taking it over as the SORASED Michael emerged from a one year coma. He has given some really strong performances in showing Michael’s struggle to fit in and be normal, despite his inner turmoil.

And he seemed to have a really good rapport with all the other actors.

So I really don’t get the change.

One thing’s for sure….

Today promises to be some good GH watching.

Being highly unsatisfied with Lucky’s reaction to witnessing his fiancee having sex with his brother the previous week, I’m hoping Friday’s cliffhanger produces a better – and more volatile – week coming up concerning the most hated triangle to come along in a long time.

That’s only my opinion about being the most hated triangle – Lucky/Liz/Nik – however, it’s one that many people also share judging from other blogs and internet chatter.

Let’s go back to last Monday’s General Hospital eppy, shall we?

After Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) witnesses Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) having sex the previous Friday, the only thing Lucky does is trash his house and doesn’t say a word to Liz or Nik about what he saw.

Instead, he convinces Nik – who was about to leave the country for good – to stay and that he needed him.

Are you kidding me?

For one thing – it’s extremely unrealistic to me that Lucky would react in that way.

Secondly, after we’ve all suffered through this never-ending, horrendous storyline and finally see the finish line……oh, no! The saga continues with everyone trying to figure out what the heck Lucky has in store for the two betrayers.

My fellow soap blogger, Paula’s Soapbox, explained her feelings about the situation last week quite eloquently.

Did I mention that Lucky – a recovering addict – proceeds to get drunk multiple times….although I must admit, I liked the scenes between Lucky and Luke (Tony Geary) bonding over a bottle.

Which brings me to last Friday – a true cliffhanger!

The last words we hear Lucky utter to Liz and Nik are: “You finally made me see reality. You don’t love me, Elizabeth, otherwise you wouldn’t be screwing my brother behind my back!”

You can see for yourself on the video below, which begins with some Lulu/Dante scenes (love those two!) segues into the back half of the aforementioned Lucky/Luke bonding scene and ends with Lucky confronting Liz and Nik.

Did ya see the look on Nik’s face? Priceless!

Sidetracking just a bit to my new fave GH couple, Dante/Lulu, here’s a really nice tribute video to them.

Soooo cute those two!

But will they be able to overcome all the ramifications of Dante, the cop, masquerading undercover as “mobster” Dominic.

Which brings me to the other s/l with a big reveal that everyone has been eagerly awaiting: the fact that Dominic (Dominic Zamprogna) is really Olivia and Sonny’s son, Dante, and that he’s a cop on the brink of taking Sonny down!

Michael overheard Dominic talking to Johnny on Friday about the irony of Sonny offering his business to Dominic while being a cop in disguise.

So you know Michael will go running to Sonny and…..well, that part remains to be seen.

Since this is a spoiler-free zone – I don’t like to know what’s going to happen ahead of time and don’t want to spoil it for our readers – I can only imagine the craziness that will ensure.

But, you see, Michael doesn’t know the kicker – that Dominic/Dante is his brother.

And Dante doesn’t know that part either.

Let the games begin!

There are two things that I could do without on General Hospital.
Number one: Robin obsessing over the fact that her baby constantly cries while she is taking care of her and doesn’t cry around just about every other person on the planet.
And number two: mob violence.
Monday’s episode, happily, was void of the first and pretty much void of the second.
Which in itself was an improvement over some of the more recent episodes.
But more than that, there were a couple of good things coming out of Monday’s episode.
Top of my list – Luke (Tony Geary) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

The two have such a good rapport and an ease and comfort, that I just loved that scene with the two of them commiserating about their respective love lives.
Dontcha just love the way he calls her Natasha?
I just chuckle every time he does it.
Another thing that got my attention: FBI guy and Jason (Steve Burton).
jasonandFBIguy.jpg
Although I don’t like the mob stuff in general, I found FBI guy’s offer to Jason interesting.
Jason didn’t dismiss the agent’s offer to give Jason immunity in exchange for information on Sonny and Anthony Zacchara that would bring both of them down.
What I really liked was the way the agent brought up Jason’s history.
Although we all know how once upon a time Jason was a promising doctor-to-be, it’s sometimes easy to forget given that he’s been in the mob for so long.
And, I have to say, I would be very interested to see what would ensue if Jason takes him up on the offer.
So I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
