Okay, so I’m really behind on blogging…I know. I know!

But now, in one fell swoop, I will catch you up on some soap opera buzz….Let’s begin, shall we?

First of all, the return of Rebecca Herbst and her beloved character, Elizabeth Webber to General Hospital is HUGE!

Rebecca Herbst

And all of Herbst’s fans out there should be patting themselves on the back for the incredible outcry that I think helped put her back in Port Charles.

Below is a portion of the ABC network’s statement:
“The show is thrilled she will remain on the canvas to portray the beloved character in many more poignant and emotional stories. Fans will be pleased to see Rebecca continue the role she created.”

I don’t know if you’ve seen Paula’s blog – over at Paula’s Soapbox – about the power of the fans in bringing Herbst back onto the canvas. But it’s a good read.

Speaking of Paula, she’s been quite prolific in her blogging recently (certainly putting me to shame).

And if you didn’t know it, Paula was the one who predicted that it was Suzanne who chopped up Brenda’s wedding dress AND that she was somehow connected to The Balkan – BOTH of which came true!

Kudos Paula!

Now, she takes it a step further in discussing the possibilities of what may or may not have happened to Brenda’s baby .

And while you’re on Paula’s site, she has two Days Of Our Lives blogs that you’ll want to read.

Taylor Made: DOOL discusses the switcheroo Days made with the role of Taylor, which was played by Natalia Livingston (Emily/GH) for about five minutes before the show announced recasting Tamara Braun (Carly/GH, Ava/DOOL, Reese/AMC) in the role.

Paula’s latest Days blog is Who Does #2 Work For? Not Me! : DOOL which describes her updated feelings about Rafe #2.

Who doesn’t love Michael E. Knight as Tad Martin on All My Children and Natalia Livingston as Emily (before her demise) on General Hospital?
Arguably, Tad and Emily are two of the most beloved characters in the soap world.
At least in my opinion.
And I guess my opinion counts right now because I’m the one writing this blog.
If you haven’t listened to Jo Ann’s soap star interviews on Stardish Radio , Monday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day) at 10 p.m. EST would be a good time to start.
That’s when Jo Ann will interview Knight.
And I can promise you, because I’ve met him and seen him in action at Super Soap Weekend, he is a lot of fun. So I expect it will be a good interview to catch.
Tad and Kathy on AMC
Go to the website at and it will give you directions on how to listen in and even ask some questions. It’s called BlogTalk radio, which is an interesting concept.
You also can go into the archives and listen to her past interviews and she has a pretty impressive list of interviews to date, which include
Jo Ann has gotten a lot of soap stars, including David Fumero (Christian, OLTL), Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio, OLTL), Bradford Anderson (Spinelli, GH), Antonio Sabato, Jr. (Jagger, GH and GH Nightshift, season 2) and the list goes on and on.
So boot up your computers Monday night and listen to Jo Ann talk to Michael E. Knight.
Regarding Natalia, I know that many Emily fans (including me) have been missing her big time since she was killed off of GH back in November, although, luckily, we did see her as Nikolas’ hallucination for six months after her death.
And many Natalia fans have been wondering what she has been doing since her 5-years with GH ended.
Wonder no more.
There is a really good interview up on the Natalia Livingston website. Go there and click on updates. The latest update is an interview conducted by Jennifer, who runs Natalia’s site at
The entire interview is interesting.
But there was one portion that was particularly fascinating to me about the possibility of her return to GH.
I’m not going to spoil it for you.
Go to the Natalia board and listen for yourself.
And then let me know what you think.

I canNOT believe General Hospital has fired little Michael!
Dylan Cash, who entered Port Charles in the role of Michael Corinthos III when he was 7 years old in 2002, has been let go.
Apparently, GH plans to keep him in the coma for awhile and when he wakes up – he’ll be several years older AND another actor.
I just have one question.
What’s the point?
We’ve all watched Dylan grow up on GH from a little kid into a young man and a wonderful actor.
I, for one, am invested in Dylan as Michael and to switch him for another actor just to make him older doesn’t make sense to me.
There are enough older teens on GH now.
After all these years, I will find it hard to accept that all of sudden…Whalla! Michael’s 20!
It’s not so bad when they SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) a child actor who has only been in the role for a short time.
But really, Dylan has been Michael for as long as I can remember.
It’s bad enough that GH killed off Emily (Natalia Livingston) and Georgie (Lindze Letherman).
Excuse me. I’m still livid about those killings.
Now, in essence, they’re killing off the Michael that we’ve all come to know and love.
According to several fan sites, Dylan was blindsided by the firing.
I find it all very sad.
